Less power, more weight, 4wd on the Panamera...but the m5 is still very fast...

Wow I had expected the new M5 to be much faster than the RS6. It wasn't.
M5 vs. Panamera, the M5 got the jump but the M5 is still faster.

the new RS should easily solve the problem, the M5 isn't that much faster, but certainly on the track the gap is bigger...

Or....even the current (recent past RS6) with a few upgrades. Britts now getting up to 831 hp out of them.... Just wish there was carbon fiber upgrades to lessen weight.

I'm guessing that RS6 was stock; a stage 1 ECU reflash gets 700bhp, and 140 extra bhp makes a difference (and both cars are heavy).
The E39 M5 was the last M5 that had decent handling. I would be rolling in one right now, had I not been swayed by the comparative sheer power of the C5 RS6 (and the engine reliability issues - better for us to have crappy suspensions than crappy conrod bearings!!)

The Panamera rolls on 22" aftermarket wheels. Makes a difference...
