Morning,
Any experience on a RS6 V8 ?
Was wondering if they're worth the tests.
Thanks
:hey:

Thats like saying "any experience with Audis?" - really depends which one.. if you are referring to the popular T1-R, I would skip. I had them in the past and they were ok, and wore fast.

Ditto what brav said. T1R's are skip. Tread looks cool but thats about it. I think I got maybe 9K miles off them just normal driving. Terrible life.

OEM size? Cant beat the performance or wear of Michelin PSS for the price. Thats what is on my car now, and what i will continue to buy.

Plus i can get 4 to your door for $884 in 255/40/18

Send 4 of them Michelins my way ... awesome price ! Even with a wholesale acct at TireRack I can't get them that cheap. Where do I send my dollars ?

I use the TR1s on my VW racer...I wouldn't dream of using them as daily driven street tires. Good max-sport tire though for the money. But the Michelin deal JSRS6 mentions would be the way to go IMO.

Well Jimmy, you could send those dollars to me, but it wouldn't get you any tires. LOL

But seriously folks, write this down.

Stock size last i checked was $221/each shipped. They are $201, $10 tax, $10 shipping.

Cant for the life of me find the PN. just tell them the stock size...and tire brand and model. they sell mostly pilot sport cup for porsche racing.

Sorry, no link. Gotta call.

Oh, and i forgot the Dave disclaimer:

I do not make a cent off these tires, just a big fan who just happened to track test them for michelin.

Shipping would probably be a little more for you, mik15.

Thank you so very much JSRS6 !

Isn't there a 'special' p/n for this size tire for the Rs6? A special Rs6-only tire?

I've had the t1r on the 4 and the 6. Both actually fell apart before I wore them out. Only tires I've ever had do that. Soooooo skip.

JSRS6, thanks for the information for Jackson Motorsports Group!!!!

I just got off the phone with a very friendly lady and placed an order for a set of PSS at an unbeatable price. $261 for 275/30ZR19, which is about half of what the going rate is. More mod money!

What width and offset are you running? No rubbing issues?

I will find out once they get here and are mounted. My HREs are 10" wide and the wore out rubber is 255 but much too stretched for my preference. I might have to grind down the nub on the upright but with the 255s I can still stick my finger between the tire and nub so there is a good chance that I won't have a problem. The wheels are flush without spacers so I know that I have a low offset and that should help with inside clearance with the 275s.
