I needed forced induction again. After keeping my B7 S4 for about a year, I had all that I could take. I have to say that I probably will never by a NA V8 car again. They end up costing me a fortune in the end because I sell them way before they should be sold. ;) Here are the pictures of my new beast. Gave her a wash and wax yesterday to check out its condition and its almost flawless on the outside. I am really happy with the condition of it. I love it!

Thanks!

They are VMR, 19". I had a set on my S4 that were the RS4 style, but these are WAY sexier! I am pretty sure they are the V710's:

275/30/19 on all 4 corners.

Danville, nice, you're right around the corner from me. As Beastly mentioned, a Bay Area Audi meetup is a great idea. I know a few other Audi guys who would be interested...

Very nice. Love the wheels. I'd lower it about .25-.50" in the front and .50" in the rear and I think it'd have a real nice stance to it. We have the same size VMR's. What offset were they and what spacer did you have to use?

I was just about to order the same VMR's for my car. Glad I didn't, 2 RS6's in Buffalo on. VMR 710's would have been silly.

Justin, I've got the VMR 701's on the RS6, NOT the 710's.

I do, however, have 710's on my S4. Haha

I just sold my S4 yesterday, had the speedline S4 wheels with 255's on all 4 corners. I can't wait till the RS6 trans dies. Driving auto is killing me. Need to row through hears to enjoy driving. It made the S4 more fun to drive than the RS6 for sure. How long have you had the S4?

BuffaloRS6
April 30th, 2012, 03:42
I've had the S4 for about 8-9 months now. I'm debating whether or not to sell it this spring/summer. I don't need to sell it, but @ the same time I don't really need two cars either. It's a VAST Stg 3 w/ E85 tune, ER IC's, K04's etc. It's very fast. Prob still a little faster than my RS6 w/ the GIAC tune. Just pulls like a freight train. I'd really like to buy/build a wide body S4 Avant Stg3 @ some point. Always been a dream car of mine. What are you going to do if/when the trans goes on the RS6?

Did you buy Brad's old S4? And I'm going to 6-Speed swap my RS6 once I kill the auto. Advatage of owning my own shop.

Yep I did. It's a great car...6 spd swap should be sick.

Was you RS6 local too?

BuffaloRS6

It was local but not originally. Originally from the Indianapolis area. Nice & clean. No winters.

Justin9212
April 30th, 2012, 13:13
Is that Dustin's old car? He had it tuned for 2 days and had to put a new trans in it?

BuffaloRS6
April 30th, 2012, 13:21
Yup. Do you happen to know anyone else with a vehicle for sale that I can buy? Haha! I just saw Dustin the other day. Gave him a ride in the RS6 once it was all done up. He said he misses it. Haha. Also went for a ride in his Merc E55 AMG. That thing is real nice.

Lol. I know a ton of people in the Local car community in general, but the German car crowd more-so than any. I know Jason pretty well because we are in the same business, I know Dustin mostly through his brother that does some design work for my shop media, and I know Brad from being in the same circle of friends, he is also my mailman, lol. Are you on Any of the local forums? Dubbs In The Buff, NYSpeed, WNYFbody.

April 30th, 2012, 17:24
Ah I see. That's cool. I'm not really on any of the local forums. Just Quattroworld & here. Def looking forward to meeting more people in the car community this summer.

I did. Roadsport. Nice guys. Very happy with my experience there.

I am definitely good for a meetup! We need to coordinate something. The weather is getting beautiful. A drive up the coast might be in order. ;)

Very Nice!

I see some important seats in the back...

Absolutely! They fit way better in this car than in my B7 S4. The added length is much better and makes it so that my son is not pigeon toed against the back seat.

I will consider lowering at some point. I have a decent commute and am going to take it easy on this car for a while. It rides pretty good so I am going to enjoy it for a while as is. I do have my eyes on the EuroCharged ECU though. :incar:

No spacers that I am aware of. I looked a couple days ago and the rim is sitting flush against the rotor.

... What are you going to do if/when the trans goes on the RS6?

It has a warranty until 85K miles. So, if it does go hopefully its within that window. What are the 6 speed swaps costing these days? I know its a lot of pieces when you factor in the trans, pedal assemblies, center console, etc.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Made a drive yesterday up to Gilroy gardens. It was fantastic. Family fit great and I just relaxed and enjoyed that fantastic exhaust note. Even though my B7 had the APR exhaust on it, this definitely sounds better.
