Leaky driver's side axle seal. The RS6 spent a good 4 hours @ the dealership getting diagnosed. I'm just glad it had nothing to do with the new transmission that the previous owner had Audi put in last year. The stealership quoted me $1,037.71 parts/labor to fix it. Yikes... Needless to say I'm not getting it fixed there. Getting a few estimates together from local shops.

Over a G for an axle seal!! What is an axle seal anyway? Did the outer CV on my son's A6 4.2 for $36.

I do it for $350.

I had one done at an Audi dealer for $450 if I recall. I'll check my records.

Ok. $1100 includiing servicing front diff, center and rear diff.
