I was getting an insurance quote and was told the VIN that I gave was incorrect. What I provided was prefixed with WUA...
The agent told me that the VIN should begin with WAU.. I checked the myaudijourney website and confirmed that they did indicate WUA... I've never owned an Audi so I have no baseline info. The website wouldn't be wrong would it!?!?!?

The VIN on my RS6 starts with WUAPV...

Tell your agent that the WUA for the RS6 stands for :

"What a frickin' Unbelievable Audi"

My insurance agent questioned it, too, but had no problem after I assured him it was WUA. Nordschleife's post above seems to explain it, eh? Thanks, Nordschleife!

As the agent said they made it WAU to get the system to take it, I need to get back to them and get them to correct it.

As an aside, my current insuror (Erie) would not cover me as I did not have the min. 2 years experience (read coverage with another company) driving a performance car. I did get a quote from Progressive for $590/6 mo. Can't really complain as they have been fantastic (price/service) since I trransferred my coverage to them.

Thanks all!
