View Full Version : Changing rear sway bar. Remove muffler or bow down?

Those who have done this.

I have the six bolts all done and mufflers released at the rear hangers.

But they don't move low enough to snake the sway bar out.

Release middle couplings and remove muffler or Push down harder??

No need to remove the mufflers, just remove the 2 13mm bolts from the center exhaust hangers, the exhaust will drop substantially further..

Silly. I did not look far enough forward.

Rear is finished. Just drove to work. Wow!! Even with snow tires still on.

I hope to get the front done tonight.

front goes much faster than the rear. I think removing the panel is the most time consuming step.

Finished. Front took about 45 minutes.

I did a quick drive but just down the road and back to listen for issues.

I will have my snows off this weekend.
