Ok, totally irrelevant post kinda, but does the technology exist so that I can be out working on my RS, have a quick question and get an answer while I'm out on the car? On any given day there are 75-100 viewers on the RS6 section and I know one or 2 with a quick answer to a question I am stumped on, but it would be nice to have the answer right away...any way to do this?

I barely even use a home computer anymore. IPhone does nearly everything I want.

Your iphone can't run the Bentley software though, which is pretty important if you're wrenching on your RS6 IMHO.

I have a bunch of older but not quite obsolete laptops around in the garage and the cars. Not as sexy as a new ipad, but I won't be too upset if I accidentally spray one with brake cleaner (BTDT, eats holes in the screen).

Agreed 100%.

But if all he needs is a quick question answered, a smartphone works.

How about an RS6 app? Beyond my skill set....I know I can go on here on my phone but it seems cumbersome. I usually wind up at the house on the forum, wife makes me clean up (I'm not sure why) and then I lose momentum.

You could use a tablet or laptop with Remote Desktop.

You could also bribe someone on the forum who knows how to work on the car for their phone number.
