SE Exhaust vs stn chrome tips

Hey gang, just curious, This is my 2nd RS6 but this does not have the SE exhaust. Maybe its been too long since I heard the SE sound but is they're really much difference?? At idle it seems the same. Or is it louder only at hard acceleration?

And what did they do at the factory when you compare the internals of the system?

From what I can discern in visually comparing the two side by side, the SE is a three piece exhaust while the non-SE is a single piece. The SE has different mufflers and black tips. The remainder of the two systems is the same.
