Color question: Mugello Blue folks

... Continuing my RS6 shopping madness. As I mentioned in my WWP thread, my color choices are Daytona, Avus and then Mugello... in that order. I am warming up to the Mugello since my wife keeps talking it up saying she likes it better than Daytona.

Question for you Mugello guys... does this have a slight purple tint in some light conditions? I have not seen one in person but some internet pictures lend me to believe this does happen. There are some 'dark' blues out there which dont have that purple look... I've seen recent BMW 5 series with this and even a Volvo XC90. It looks good and it is a true blue with no purple tint in different angles. Mugello is a nice darker blue but some pictures I have seen give it a purple tint.

What's the in-person verdict?

Nope... always looks blue, except at night, when it can look black...Mugello blue with ebony interier was really my only option and it took a long time to find one, plenty with the white...gray... whatever they call it...I call it fugly...no offense if you have one...

I agree, it always looks blue. The dark color looks very good at night, clean and waxed and just rolling around. Ah, they all look good, every one in every color.

Love the Blue, just a great color all around...black interior, carbon, love it!

100% blue here....a nice combo with the silver seats and walnut wood IMO.

I'm not a Mugello guy (I'm a Mugello gal!), but I can attest that there is no purple tint. It's just a nice, deep, dark blue with a tasteful amount of pearl effect. Love it!

Can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting a silver/grey/Daytona Audi (I've got 2) and that's why I like my blue! Very similar color to the '69 Buick LeSabre my uncle had when I was a kid.

looks blue all the time, except when it doesn't. ie. at night, looks black. have the silver interior, So Cal only way to go (tt). The black seats will peel flesh off your legs in the summer, thank goodness for warm weather package. Hey Andria, I didn't know you were a blue gal.

Thanks. I forgot there was a gal or two among us. My wife's color preference in order is Mugello, Avus, Daytona. Exact opposite of my preference... of course. We shall see...
