Hello All,
I have recently bought a 2003 RS6, Mugello Blue, in great condition from a dealership in the Seattle area. I absolutely love the car and looking forward to ownership for a good few years.
Wagner intercoolers and VMR 19 X 9.5 wheels. I bought the car with H&R lowering springs installed but have had the local Audi dealership change back to the stock springs. It was a touch too low in the front, although the height at the rear was quite good. Also, a good chance to look over the DRC and 4 upper control arm bushings replaced. H&R springs were nice but she did not sit as well as some RS6's that I have seen on the forum, with excellent ride height set-up using KW v3's and similar.
The car is currently on 265/30/19 tires and I was wondering if stock 255/35/19 tires would be better by getting back to the right rolling circumference? Would this size tire be a stretch on 9.5's? Maybe I am better off with a 265/35/19 tire? Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Welcome....stunning color !! Gray or black interior?
IMO, the 265/35 will be a tad too tall. 255/35/19s are what the 9" stock euro-rims roll on, it might not be too much of a stretch to be noticeable on 9.5" rims. Do a search; lotsa good info on 19" tires and rims here.

This was a very nice car. I drove it, and thought very seriously about it. Nice service record history.
I think you are going to like that car.
I am new to the forum.
Jimmy - I am the guy who also knows Paul Krasucky from the S-cars forum and who restored the 1981 Scirocco S. Amazing how close the Cirrus Gray of the 1981 S is to the Daytona Gray..........hmmmmmm....someday.

Thanks very much for the welcome, I am really enjoying the car. The interior is gray and in great shape.
Jimmy, thanks, will search a little more.
ben916, your aluminum paddles sound NICE.

By the way, if anyone is interested in the H&R lowering springs that I have, they are yours, just pay the shipping. They were on the car for two years and I changed them out about a week ago.

Thanks, yes, I like the tail lights although I get the brake light warning every few days or so but no worries.

I bet it's a bad connection causing the light to go out, one of mine does that, seems good now that we've isolated the bad line and taped it up, give that a shot. The connectors are just inside the rear trunk panels...

:jlol: Kra-sucky !!...that's pretty funny.
I remember pics of your type 53. I'm jealous...I had hoped to restore a friend's 1981S GT-3 racer recently ...but the rust cancer finally won. It's since been parted and buried. Hey do you need an extra S-trimmed tailite and a great set of US bumper covers and blend strips?

Welcome dcsweet, and nice ride! I am also rolling a Mugello Blue beast in the Puget Sound area -- maybe I'll see you around! You should join us the next time we have a beers-n-gears meet-n-greet at Feierabend in Seattle.
Love those wheels!

VMR 710's right? I love the way the car looks. Can you please
post pics of your car with the stock suspension? I'm looking to get these rims this summer n was curios what it would look like with stock springs.

Dcsweet With your old springs did you rub at all in the front with your tire and wheel combo?

YANORS6 - VMR 710 19 x 9.5
No rubbing with wheel and tire combo but just a little low for me. I have never had more than just driver and front passenger in the car. The two photos show the difference between H&R and stock springs and I think the rear is ok, but the front too low.

I think I saw your car when at Redmond European today. Looked great. Hopefully just in for some regular maintenance.

Chung, yes, it was there and in for the 75k service, new HVAC blower motor and installation of Hotchkis bars. I have not driven the car since mid-January although my wife takes it out for a walk from time to time. I cannot wait to get behind the wheel again, I am picking the car up tomorrow when I land in Seattle.
I thought I would try Redmond European as an alternative to the others. Have you taken your car there before?

They currently are my go to place. I had my oil cooler pipe, MAF rewire, silicon hoses and a a/c sensor done there. They are a little spendy but the work has always been good so far (and the people are nice). Right now my car is in for an oil change.
