A/C panel issues

ever since i bought the car i had some problems with the A/C panel, some of the buttons were very sticky due to something leaking probably from the cup in the cup holder...anyway, today i got the CD-player out and the AC panel, dissembled both of them, cleaned it, btw in the AC panel there was quite some Coke :), put it all back together, the buttons are working now as they are supposed to, but still didn't fix the LED's problem, which still don't come on whenever i pres Auto, Defrost, Recirculation, etc... the regular red ones are working except for the ''-'' on the passenger's side. I did clean the circuits board as it was a bit sticky on some parts but other than that everything seemed to be in order....have you got any ideas what could i do to fix it? I don't wanna jump yet into buying another one...should i replace the LED's ?
