View Full Version : Wanted: Used Std Torque Converter

Hello, i'm based in the UK and after speaking to Amanda tonight it seems that the best option i have in fixing my gearbox is to source a used Torque Converter over the water and ask very nicely if the seller could send it to Ace TC for me as part of the deal.

I don't suppose anyone has one lying around that they would be happy to see it goto a good home?

Sold mine last month to a fellow in Ireland sorry to say. Keep checking around here. You may be able to get one from a junkyard. I got a TCU from Shokan a while back, perfect condition.

I have a torque converter with only 4k miles on it that was modified by 517 trans. Shoot me a pm.

Andrew i've pm'd you.... i don't know much about 517 to be honest and how they compare to ACE?

I am going to have mine replaced with a factory new one by the dealer sometime after the holidays. I wish I could get them to put in an ACE unit, but the warranty company just wants to do stock stuff. If you can wait, I will probably be able to sell mine. What are used ones worth?

Go with a local indy shop that your warranty co. will work with. You should be able to make this work.

Not sure what your budget is mate but there is a complete RS6 gearbox with TC for sale on eBay UK for 500 pounds just now. Supposedly the box needs a re-build. Worth a look, perhaps the seller would sell the TC separately.
