Does anyone with access to ETKA feel like looking for a couple part #'s?
I am looking for steering rack bolts, and the Engine Cradle Bolts(which I think are stretch as well).
TIA

are there any other steve under engine area that are stretch? that are important. I blew a brand new set of lower control arms due to both subframe bolts and steering rack bolts not holding tq down...

Very strange - I didnt know this was an issue. I have blown my lower passenger rear bushing very quickly after replacing all control arms in the front end. Should I be looking to replace all of these cradle stretch bolts as well??

I never knew, but I developed a bad clunking noise, and the mechanic discovered that many of my cradle bolts and steering rack bolts, needed another full turn! They are stretch bolts, and are not supposed to be used again. Not to mention on ride lowered on KW and spacers, the stresses are enormous

I have also KWs and spacers :) I am sure thats the source.. I thought maybe I installed wrong or the meyle bushings were sh!t.

I was under the impression that the reason for replacing bolts that 'stretch' is due to the effective change in thread pitch due to the stretching that can potentially strip out or cross thread when re-used.

There's nothing worse that having a stripped out body bolt.

Technically, though, all bolts stretch. Some more than others.
