Hi everyone:

Been doing some googling, but it doesn't seem to have a unified answer - what are my options for obtaining a second full key (remote plus switchblade fob)? I assume dealer-only, as it needs to be coded to the specific car and cut by them?

What should I expect in terms of costs for the replacement key?

I had to go through the key thing for the E55 and the M5 - the E55's replacement key cost about $210, if I remember right. The M5's was $160ish. Both were ordered from the factory and required no programing - they were plug and play. What I've been reading is that Audi uses another method that requires about an hour of technician time to code a key to the specific car?

As such I imagine such costs to be higher. Anyone done this before?

Thanks in advance...
