There was one for sale earlier this week right here...
If not, I might look in ETKA if you don't find it by Saturday

that is VERY cool; I use a similar digital readout to monitor vitals on my Skyline; unfortunately that's a separate unit taped to the dash. Display integration like that is well worth the money, if you like knowing what's happening in real time with your engine.

the only thing that's holding me back though is I can't make heads or tails of the installation; it's what, about $220? But then if I need a specialist to spend four hours installing it, that's a $600 unit.

Would the HKS Camp2 be an option? Looks like it would display through the RNS-E.

Yes, Randy, the HKS would be an option for those with Nav displays. But you also have a remote for controlling the HKS unit. The FIS-control is controlled with the cruise control stalk, just like the APR tune. It won't interfere with that function either, since the CC stalk signals pass through the FIS-control unit.

Four weeks mony-back guarantee if you are not satisfied by the FIS-Control or if the FIS-Control is not 100% compatible with your car.

4b0 920 983 kx

Looks like that PN is not listed as "approved" on their site..

JSRS6

This is true, but its also not on the known "WILL NOT WORK" list. It works on a6, it will most likely work on RS6. Plus there is the money back thing if it isn't compatible, and free shipping worldwide...

If my car ever stays out of the shop for an extended period of time, I may have to give one of these a whirl and get my A pillar back..

One think I noticed about the FIS control unit is that it uses the CLK DAT ENA signals to control the instrument cluster display. Are those present on later C5s? The RNS-e seems to use the CAN bus for that instead. Is that true of the standard Symphony unit as well?

/me has 4B0 920 937 B

Who's willing to try ?

PS.
What would You like to have extra displayed if You owned it ? Gear number ? Current boost ? :)

kday

I would really like to see boost. I had a similar desire on my Ur-S4 and ended up building something similar to the FIS Control device for those older cars (much less sophisticated due to the limited display though).

Whoops :(

Not compatible instrument clusters

The following clusters will NOT work with the FIS-Control. 8D0 919 033
4B0 919 881 CX (seems not to work. I don't know why)
4B0 920 937 B (VDO D12)

Thats weird. You should have our PN but with Lx instead of kx for the euro 320km/h

TPMS yes (tire pressure), RNS-E - no (got RNS-D version)

From what i can tell, Rest of World instrument clusters that incorporate TPMS into the cluster are a different PN. If you don't use TPMS, get the LX version(canadian) that is 320km/h. Should work with FIS-Control.
