I bought two of them a month ago. You wouldn't think it'd make a difference, but it does.

I bought one a month ago as well, and it really does make things nicer in the driver's seat.

I must have gone through 10 of them. Does look way better. Never understood why its so bad when similar emblems on my TT and past cars lasted longer and now obviously fine on the S5. I just got them a few at a time from the dealer...cheaper than these numbers

How do these even wear? It doesn't feel like a spot on the wheel that would get a lot of touches.

Obsessive owners rubbing the logo....just kidding, but I know what you mean, don't think I've brushed mine in 6 months, yet it's half worn off from the previous owners....

This emblem and the black paint they use for the ac control, headlight control switch, and the window control panel all seem to be subject to
poor wear characteristics. The oil from fingers or cleaning agents? None of it holds up the way it should.

I just rubbed the black and red paint off with my thumb while stuck in traffic. Did that only a few months after I bought it, since I got tired of looking at the half-worn emblem, and the dealer wanted $$$.
The brushed aluminum looks great, IMO, just on it's own. It matches a few other trim pieces in the car nicely. Now when I see a factory wheel, it looks to me like the owner just painted it himself.
I think others around here also did that.

You can get these cheaper from your dealer rather than with the profit the ebayers make!

Just ordered one. My authorized service center is more than 100 miles away (and I am not due for service for another 3000 miles), so I'd rather order online. Always nice to have spares.

Was thinking since Amanda the Brit posted the number that it's different for some reason? Maybe they sent you the wrong one?

I replaced mine when I bought the car for 3 euro...dealerships have them on hand..are they really hard to come by in the states?

EINHORN

usually given the limited # of rs6's imported, dealers won't have them on hand or little else actually
