Since I have acquired my RS6 this July, I have been attempting to change all the fluids out with fresh. I have just a few left: brake, coolant, and power steering.

Going to do the coolant this weekend and was wondering if the power steering can be done in parallel? Last time I changed power steering fluid, I just spun the pump pulley by hand and evacuated all the fliud and did the reverse to return fresh. Can I do this on the Audi?

Pentosin CHF-11s for fluid?

Thanks,
Matt

Turkey baster the old stuff out, then refill. Repeat. Done.

Or do what my mechanic did and use crappy hose clamps on the lines and all your fluid will leak out....instant flush :(

^ this means the rack is still full though.

You are also supposed to turn the wheel lock-to-lock when you do this, preferably up on jacks with a second person turning as your baste and refill.

I agree with JSRS6's procedure, front wheel on Jackstands and lock to lock. You can get to one of the lower power steering fluid coolers with the pan off down below to drain. I myself am refilling with CHF202 which is the newest revision that Porsche & Audi swapped over to just after the RS6 went out of production. Supposedly a little better temp range, fully backwards compatible (ok to mix too) with CHF11S (but not CHF7S) and actually a little cheaper than CHF11S when pricing.

So 202 superceeds 11s? Weird new stuff is cheaper...not complaining, just seems odd.

Also, what's the capacity? 1 L or more?

a good full flush, you will have a little left over from a liter. get 2 just in case.
