Looking for some winter tires now. Thinking of going with some Nokians this time, but what do you think of the difference in size? It's under the average 3% recommended max so I figure all should be good. XL rated tire, closest fit they make.

Here's the number breakdown.

That'll be just fine.

I thought it was a 5% difference between the Front/Rear - not total difference between what is expect on an 18" tire versus a 19" tire versus a 20" tire - otherwise peeps would be getting that differential code all the time.

BTW - someone on AZ actually got that code on an RS6 that was being test driven - he stated that he couldn't drive the car over 50MPH due to the tires were sooooooo bad...
I will see if I can find the code that he posted...

Yep, that's where my numbers are from. 1% difference or so from stock, just wondering if anyone was running this size, experience with it, shouldn't be noticeable, car will sit a 1/4" lower...

Car will sit a little over 1/8 lower. Total diameter is a little more than 1/4" less. You won't even notice it. Your speedo will be off by a couple mph at 60.

I went with 245 Hankook winter tires and all is well. You won't notice any difference in ride height or contact patch.

Just got home tonight through a snowstorm and the hankook's performed well with icey roads.

Price was not for the faint of wallet, $1320 installed, shipped, warranty, should have on Friday! Drove on the IceX2's last year in the WRX, looking to see what these have.
