Yep, I'm stumped on this one and I don't have the part it mounts to handy to check it.

If you don't know what it is, this is the socket that the cleco-type fastener clips into to hold down the front of the CF engine cover.

I need the P/N for this piece and the nut that secures it.

Searched for that before. Iirc, ETKA lists the bracket with those installed as the lowest replaceable unit.

Ben u are a machine!

ETKA is a life saver!

I have a little nerd notebook that I look up parts that are missing on my car and just happened to have it handy.
The other thing that is missing on mine is the two rubber grommets on top of the intake manifold that the OEM airbox "snaps" into...

Thanks Ben.

I had this written down but the diagram had me second guessing.

That price does suck, too.

Also, I couldn't find the bracket that these pieces are attach to?

You have the P/N for it, too?

Bringing this back from the dead....

I managed to find the bracket, but does anyone have a spare one or two of these pieces along with the nut that secures it to the bracket?

I have a spare capture lug, will be happy to send to you, pm mailing address (thanks again for the windshield wiper post cap!), but still looking for spare nuts to fasten them with. Threading is M12x1 , and the smallest I can find readily available is M12x1.5 locally or M12x1.25 on the interwebs.

Anyone with a good parts/fasteners catalog want to chime in on pricing for a hex nut or three so I can drop in my spare parts bin? M12 nut, 1mm thread pitch, 6mm or less height...

Quick update, may have found a nut that'd work...

Not sure if it's short enough to fit the gap, but worth a shot, right? :)

$1.58/ea at wholesale, no idea what the price would be to pick up a single or a couple to have spares...

I got some grommets with my valve cover gasket set that fit perfectly. I don't know what they were actually for, but it came with 4 of them. I used two to replace my cracked grommets, and I can't remember if I kept the other two or threw them away..

Audi doesn't list a part number for the little piece of rubber that covers the support post. Just like many other small parts, they want you to spend $$$ on a larger assembly. Your best bet is to run over to Home Depot/Lowe's/Ace hardware, and get yourself a piece of rubber tubing. I had some laying around in my garage, I believe it was either 1/4" or 3/8" ID tubing, thin wall. I jammed it over the end of the post and it now sits exactly as it should on the post itself, holds the front intake cover in place just fine.

I cut tubing too like OtherErik mentioned when one of my rummer grommets went missing. Just kept trimming it with a an exacto knife til i liked the fit.

Ask DHall1, as I sold them to him. He has the part numbers.
They are listed in ETKA but a challenge to find.

I checked and couldn't find them. But I'd say the same thing the others are saying, some rubber tubing from any hardware or automotive store should be easily made to work.
