mmmmmmmmmmmmmh ok.

what was the point of that comparo? the ginetta? why put in a car that costs almost 50% more (R8)? why compare with a car that has over 110 hp than it (GTR)- what are you going to prove with that apart from the obvious? they should have eliminated the r8 and nissan and put in a TT RS and Cayman R. silly.

but thanks for posting.

ps- this is for audi. how about you drop the V8 and V10 variants of the current R8 and, in the next gen, just sell one- a V8 TT 4.0 (560 hp and 480 ft/lbs) that weighs less than the current V8, has a DSG option, and costs somewhere between the current two? you'd sell lots more of them and kill pretty much any comparison that car is entered into.

And where would this leave Porsche's 911 and Lamborghini Gallardo? :vhmmm:

There is a place for Audi in the VAG empire and it most certainly isn't at the top of the performance table that's for sure.

As I understand it, they haven't developed an MR version of DCT yet unless you count the Veyron transmission which costs about the same as 2 R8s and probably isn't compatible anyway. Last I heard they couldn't make a case for the development costs and with so many people whimpering on about the lack of involvement with DCT, that's unlikely to change anytime soon.

The standard V8 R8 is all the car any sane person would need anyway.
