Installed R1 DVs and within days I was getting the "honking" sound under partial boost. Contacted APR and they said I needed to replace the DV spring with the stiffer blue spring. My question is has anyone gone through this and did it rectify the problem, or am I better off asking for a refund and just getting something else?

Myself, as well as others have dealt with this issue. It was definitely a hassle. I even went as far as to give my dv's to apr at VIR when i was there and they were racing. Took a while to get them back. Still "quacked when i got them back. get a refund.

Same here, I sent them back on a recall to be modified and they came back still the same. Garbage, I'll never buy another APR product again, they wouldn't take mine back.
