Nobels ARE (or certainly can be made) street legal in the US. I always see the same one up at Lime Rock for HPDE days...it has MASS plates on it.

Thanks guys. Car is nuts. Makes the RS seem mundane, but thats why she's my daily. It isn't hard to register. And remarkably easy for California. Many steps, but not hard. They are legal as "kit cars" even tho they come 95 % assembled. The regulations for this vary by state.

I can pull on Japanese superbikes on the freeway ;) I track it a bit but not often enough.

no worries, I didnt take it that way. I have not seen his work, he is a friend/detailer that I have known for a while. He has a vendor that uses a computer to load up vehicle to cut out correct window size etc. I am going to give him a shot, he did this work for Sean @ detail Dr. before.

Yep. Thats the wave of the future, computer cut tint for YOUR specific car. There is an ebay seller in new york i believe that does this, has the machine and everything. Might be the same guy your friend gets his tint from.

If you like optical clarity please install Huper optic ceramic window film.

everything else is garbage. Pay the money for the product that you see out clearly without distortions. You are driving a 75k car BTW.

Llumar is really garbage? Honestly I dont know a thing about it, I know my RS6 was tinted, I guess by duckwing...no issues, looks great. I know Dave if your suggesting, then its the best. But before I pull, is Llumar junk?

Llumar is good, not great. Huper, 3M carbon and black box ceramic are all great. Llumar is dyed, even at their highest offering. Dyed tint will fade over time. Ceramic and carbon won't. And most if not all have lifetime warranties, not 5 year.

Huper ceramic is fantastic.

Everything else is subpar to some degree.

If this were a Kia. Who cares.

CTSV or RS6 or AMG need ceramic film.
