Hi everybody. I am new on this site. I 've just found a thread about the new rs4 in an italian www.autoblog.it and would like your opinion on the subject matter.

I am not going to buy the 4.2 rs4. I've tried a rs5 with that engine and didn't met my expectations.
I still have i my my mind my old 2.7 rs4...

+1 on the arches. It needs the big arches!

B7 RS4 was great in terms of design and performance. The reason it worked is because it was the first in its class to launch with a high rev V8. Now we have the C63, M3 and even IS-F. Audi should be moving forwards with the B8 model. The new S6 4.0 V8T would have been perfect for the RS4. Also, there is no RS4 saloon being launched I think it's avant only.

On these spy photos, it somehow reminds me of the original B5 RS4, which was lovely looking. Such a shame this one won't have turbos...

I think it will be 4,2 L. but with more HP then current RS5 ( 470 )

you're lucky if that engine actually gets to 450 hp as it is in standard form. i don't see how audi could get 475 out of it.

Of course it's gonna have the same motor. They wouldn't introduce a brand new engine for a model with only few years left to live.

To increase the HP they changed the cylinder head ,so engine is again different

Plenty of new close up shots of the mule here and obvious to see they are carrying on the fender style of the RS5 which is a great shame IMO

That would be odd would it not? BMW and Mercedes both offer saloon and coupe version of the same car but in both cases the same output is offered in each.
