Advanced Search feature

I have only once been able to get the advanced search feature to display any results related to my querry. Without making me seem like a total idiot (which may be the case in this instance) can some one please provide simple instruction on how to use this feature correctly? Thanks!

for all of the love of this site, the search feature is UTTER FAIL. I get the best results with only searching one term. Or simply go to google, and type in rs6.com and other terms.

It's not you. vBulletin's search tools are profoundly bad, just a joke of a user experience that never deliver useful results. Don't even bother, go straight to

http://www.google.com/sitesearch/

A million times easier.
