I just had the orange "Low Brake Pad Dash Light" come on and stay lit on the dash. My assumption is that this is for the front brakes only b/c previously I wore my rears down to metal and that light did not ever come on. Can some one confirm if this is indeed correct.

Correct Erik. The front pads have one with a sensor each side. Check your connectors first and look in there and see if they look really worn. How long have you had these pads on? Didn't you just get new ones right before my last dyno day?

No dash light for me yet, but the metal post on the front right has just started cutting into my rotor. Hawk hps goes on this week, turn the rotors a bit too. Hawks have the sensor cable for the fronts.
