I want to tint my windows like:

Is it easy to do it myself? Are they kidproof...Were to get them? Are they expensive? Different % of tint...?
Or go for the oem tinted ones...if they exist anyway....?

that's interesting! speaking of OEM, were all RS6s delivered with 50% tint on the rear glass? I was about to do a 20% tint all around and the rear 50% is so well done you can barely see the edges. The rear glass tint extends down so far it'll be a royal pain in the ass to remove, not to mention replicate.

I've been wanting it because of this relentless scorching sunlight happening every day since I got back to the States. I made an appointment, and bought driving sunglasses, and walk out...it's raining, and it'll be raining for at least the next week. Reminds me of how I can make it rain...spend five hours detailing my car!

A fair few RS6 Estates in the UK have got the rear windows tinted so it's most likely from factory??
I would highly recommend getting your windows tinted by a professional company so it looks near enough OEM without any imperfections. I have got my A8 tinted by a reputable company a few years back and have not had any issue at all and looks OEM.

This site should give you a rough idea of what tint shades are availble! http://www.pentagonglasstech.com/tint-shades/default.asp?colour=notints&vehicle=estate

Hope that helps!

I would agree with 54m; few of us really have the talent to make a tint look factory. The money would be well spent to hire a pro to do it; and if I couldn't afford it now, I would wait until I could rather than have a second rate result that would just have to be redone! At least I wouldn't trust my ability to do any better......

I personally will allow a pro to do it. Ive had non pro's and friends do it and it was just a headache time after time when i had it done to my d3 A8. Hearing the crackiling noise everytime i rolled my windows down id hear it. It sucks.

Let the pro's do it!
I had the RS6 back window and my other car all windows done by GTN; glasstinting.nl.
10 years guarantee. It is in Breda, not sure there might be other branches in country.
Any shade you want...
