I've been wondering what to do with my spare RS6 motor.

This makes me think that a Boxter is an option.

yep Steve, now we may both have projects down the road, how awesome. What I would like to know, what turbos?, Fueling, etc....stock internals? this subject has been covered and discussed. But what if its just that, kit car, boxter...engine, aftermkt turbos, SMIC's, cooling, fueling....Franken RS6! MRC is maximizing huge gains into a very squeezed platform, it may not be that bad Steve to build a monster like that.

With stand alone, you can really do whatever you want. It all comes down to what will fit in the space you have and a skilled fabricator.

One idea in the back of my head has the RS6 4.2 in a C6 A6 Avant with the widebody mods a-la non US RS6.

I've been on the lookout for a flood car or one with a blown motor.

Although, the idea of a mid-engined 4.2TT would be awesome. Have you seen the Lotus with the 2.7T? (http://www.mtm-online.de/en/highlights/details?id=27)

Wow Ultima GTR with a RS6 heart. That thing is gonna be a beast..

Translation from speedtrapped's link:

"This project is using the existing frame of the Ultima Can-Am.
This frame is then adjusted.
Thus, the roll bar moves back and get more seating space to create.
The swingarm is also divisible made to save time in maintenance and / or repairs to motor / gearbox.
Original engine mounts were cut out and then specific support for a new Audi RS engine back into place.

For this project we have opted for an Audi RS6 engine, V8 4.2 Bi-Turbo with a freely programmable engine management system (KMS).
It communicates with the digital dash (AIM) in the car.
Behind this engine is a custom flywheel with double clutch systems place (Sachs).
This is good for 800Nm.
Custom 6-speed gearbox, this is strengthened to be able to handle the torque.

The exhaust system is handmade.
For the braking system was chosen for light aluminum calipers (Hi-Spec).
For six warehouses and rear 4 pots with integrated handbrake.
The Ultima is equipped with a modified suspension with springs and shock absorbers in height and stiffness adjustable for both incoming and outgoing travel (AST)."
