On my VBOX, I clocked

0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds
60 ft time in 1.9 seconds

I am more than chuffed, as it is faster than my REVO 2+ S3 :)

I vboxed my car again yesterday :

4.1 seconds to 100km/h....................... I am suitably impressed :)

Have you recorded a 1/4 mile with your vbox with launch control?

I'd be very interested in the time and top speed.

So, I filled up some BP 98 octane (which you can not get at the pumps in SA) this weekend.
Finally got a chance to VBOX the car properly. Here are the results :

I knew the car was quicker than the auto express drag race with the 1m - qtr mile 13.6 and max speed 103mph.

At 12.3 it destroys the 1m :-)

Interesting fact 1 : The RS 3 loves octane !!

Looking at the VCDS logs with 98 vs 95 (pump fuel in South Africa) :
The car has a considerable amount of cf's on 95 and therefore the timing advance is not fantastic .
On 98, its like magic : all the cf's disappear, and the car make 8 degrees more timing advance.

Interesting fact 2 :The STronic and the Launch Control is amazing.

RS 3 puts the power down brilliantly.
I reckon the power of the car does not play the largest role in the performance of the car, it is the TRANSMISSION.

Personally I don't care weather its 4.6 or 4.2, I just want to hear the sound it makes doing any of those times :)

With 98 RON fuel, the RS3 will do 0-100 kph in 4.3 seconds using launch control and S mode. The noise makes the hair on your neck stick up like a loo brush. Electrifying stuff.
