Looks like a futuristic hot-rod.

I love that car! Lord knows I waste far too much gasoline, and my main commute is five minutes long. A car like that could definitely serve 80% of my driving needs.

And yes, the styling has a lot to do with it - I thing VAG has hit a home run by going retro/futuristic, rather than the aero-box of the soporific Prius and the econobox cheapness of the Nissan Leaf. The VW one-seater is even sexier, but I do need two seats as I usually drive with a passenger.

It is also good enough for my driving needs, it's only about 10 miles to my work and 10 miles back.
It would be completely perfect with a small range extender like the A1 e-tron have.

I'd take one. An article that seems to indicate it might actually make production:

It does not look that cool anymore.
The white with red Concept is awesome, the yellow is the embodiment of how a concept go wrong in to production.
The white-red i would buy, the yellow i would not.

Reading the article, it indicates the "yellow" is the test/driving mule. The "white" is the design direction. I believe the article states the white is the direction that Audi will take with production, NOT the yellow test mule.
