I think the Ohlin's stance seems too low. The look seems to cheapen the car a bit, at least from that angle. Maybe it is just because now the stock wheels look too far in.
Anyone around Boston with a non-DRC RS6 so we can compare?

Looked great in person (and rode great too)...I think most people are used to seeing 19in wheels on lowered RS6s....

I don't want to leave out StevieG who joined us as well.
Ride quality is better than DRC. Currently on softest setting. Will get alignment this week
and probably try it at the next setting. Height has settled as well. Will sync up all four wheels at 13.5".
A couple of pics to show placement of reservoirs. I appreciate forum members sharing thier setups.

I've got my KW's set of 13.25" front & 13.5" in the rear. The stock specs have the rear slightly higher than the front so I stuck with that and it isn't noticeable at only 1/4". Yea, I'd drive it for a good month or so before re-setting the ride height. Looks good and if I want ground clearance I don't drive the RS6. The car handles better (lower center of 'G') and everyone tells me it looks better. I don't think any sports sedan or sports car looks good with a gap showing between the top of the tires and the bottom of the wheel well opening, just an opinion.

Come on, Ben. Don't try to flip the fact that your car was previously owned by a tranny around on me.

I can't help that I loathe the US-only amber corners on the C5... to me pulling that piece of yellow government oppression out of your headlight is correcting a terrible NHTSA flaw imposed on the design... it just looks so much better. The stance on melsas' car is perfect, time to lose the amber, especially on an Avus car.

Sorry, but I loathe clear corners actually....forever ruined for me after I saw every POS Civic and 3 Series with clear corner hack-job...not gonna happen on my watch :hahahehe:

Just guilt by association I guess...just turned off on the whole thing since I have seen way to many crappy POS cars with clear corners and a coffee can exhaust.....Elevens, your car is amazing looking....just a mental block I can't get over

ah dammit, every time I see that car my credit card becomes frightened! Pure pornography, and EXACTLY how I want my car set up, including those OZ rims. I got Ultraleggeras on my Skyline as I had to get wheels fast and they were the only ones available that I could get quickly, but I fell in love with the design after that; it's hard to think of a car that wouldn't look good with them.

That low stance, fat-ass tires, yep, I want I want I want!!

if I understand correctly, you don't have to buy a thing. You disassemble the headlight unit and pluck that offensive amber piece of plastic out, then you're good to go :)

After removing the Headlights (which involves removing the bumper) There are various approaches. I use a Heat Gun to separate the Lens from the Reflector assembly. Then you merely remove the Orange Reflector by Breaking it out with a pliers. Put both halves back together and Reseal with the Heat Gun. The hardest part is probably the Bumper Removal. And that's it......................

Don't call me ricer! Ricers don't own fat tips, dark rims, and cleared lenses... They just abuse them. And I will point out again that the design as intended has no amber reflector, is was forced in there by the NHTSA for this market only. Clear cornering is correcting the design!

Elevens, I can't compete with the perfect stance of your car up here in the snow belt, but I do have Winter mode!

dang, I'm honestly not the biggest fan of Avus Silver; would have preferred black or DG, but I was particular about getting the ivory interior w/carbon fiber, and had very specific mechanical condition/state of tune/price parameters I was working with that led me to my RS6.

Removing that bit of amber plastic certainly makes a difference with the silver paint; I may grow to love the color after all!!
