would wheels that fit an s6 (2007) fit an rs6. the wheels i'm looking at (19x9....57.1 Hub bore.et40.) so everything looks good, but the offset. figure a 12 or 14mm spacer would take care of that. right?

I had these wheels on my S6 with 275 wide tires.

There were no issues using 20mm spacers on the front.

I ended up with 20 mm spacers on the rear as well, but 25mm spacers would have evened out the 'front to back' flushness with the fender wells.

FYI, I hated the look of them on the car at first, but it's not so bad. There are better choices out there, but if you get a good deal . . .

i'm referring to having wheels that are made for an s6 on a rs6 - 19x9....57.1 Hub bore.et40.

figured the et40 was the main problem and i'd be ok with a 12mm spacer right?

Are you referring to the wheels that I have pictured above? They are OEM from a 2007 S6 and the backspacing is 52mm, not 40mm.

no. other wheels with et40. that were built by HRE for an s6 (2007). i assume that's ok for an rs6 if i add spacers, right?

I thought you were referring to oem wheels.

Nonetheless, all the OEM wheels for the C6 A6/S6 cars should be 52 ET as the width and suspension components of the car should be the same.

from my Research, the C5 cars (widebody at least) like an ET of 30-35 in the front. The rear isn't as critical since they do no turn.

A 10mm spacer will allow those et40 rims to work...15 or 20mm ones will push them out that much more flush with the fenders on the Rs6.

If you already have 12 or 14mm spacers to fit the Audi hubs, then those certainly would do the job.

The silver S6 looks great with them rims btw ! Nice set-up.

Looks brilliant! What sized tyres are you running? Look like Michelins?

I want to order new shoes for my 03 S6: 19x9 ET25 and wrap them in 255/35 (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S) does this sound about right? Could I run 255/40 or would it rub?

Sorry to hijack, but thought it would be best all together! Cheers,

Yes, I have Michelin pilot sports. 255/35/19.

You won't have any problems with that size. Not sure about the 40 profile though. They may not rub on your setup, but your rolling diameter will increase and your speedo will be off. If you want 255 tires, I would stick with the 35 profile.
