Does anyone have the part number for the N80 valve for our cars? I found a couple of part numbers and want to make sure I get the right one.

Thanks!!

Dave

Steve..TYVM!...sensor isnt to bad to get at, have you changed it before?...cold engine, pull connector, clip, and lift?, no? will I leak coolant as well in the process?
TIA

It's not too bad to get at withe the airbox off. Straight down from teh left side of the EGT boxes. 4 pin connector really close to the cam position sensor connector.

I'm actually not sure if it leaks coolant. I want to say it doesn't. Be sure to keep the cap on the coolant reservoir closed in case, though.

I do remember a little bit came out when I replaced the one on my 2.7T.

I also remember taking mine out on my RS6, but I can't remember whether I had coolant in it or not.

I havent changed them out on my ford bronco before, no leaks. Thought I would dot I's and cross T's.
Thank you Steve

Not sure if this works but someone once suggest to do the following to avoid coolant loss:
-open coolant reservoir
-clamp the upper radiator hose
-close coolant reservoir
-unclamp upper rad hose
This should create a bit of a vacuum type situation so that when you pull the sensor there will be no fluid loss.

I have never done it this way on my VW's and Audi's so can't tell you if it works. I have usually just pulled it out and dealt with the few drips that came out.
