Sorry... I was a bit speechless for the moment. Anyways, The grip is strong... very strong. I opted for the "plus 0" tire option that fitted the stock rims with 265mm instead of 255's. Looks good. No ghetto.

could just be optical illusion, but looks like too much sidewall IMO

What is the difference between these and Pilot Sports II? I can't seem much of the tire design.

Cheaper

Better wet traction

Better dry traction

Better cornering

Faster lap times

Longer lasting tread

Im actually trying to wear out my PS2s inorder to get the PSS before they raise the prices.

That does look like a lot of sidewall, a bit round, I guess they are solid though if the cornering is as good as mentioned.

I think it looks great, fills in nicely...only thing is, that park situation would make me cringe, u know that damn mini van would bump into

Exactly the reason I wanted to know the actual size of the tire.

265/35/18 and 265/40/18 have different sidewalls. My guess is that these are 265/40/18s.

Larger contact patch while cornering than the PS2
Better heat distribution than the PS2

So these are 265/40. Its just nice to know they fit. We are talking about 3/10s of and inch overall increase in diameter. An additional sidewall of .15 inch.

If you went with 265/35s the sidewall would be much shorter than stock and overall diameter would drop 7/10s of an inch over stock. Giving up .35 of an inch of sidewall.

I like the S5 pic. I would be glad to time attack against that rubber band tire car.

It is 265/40/18. They do look a bit rounded as opposed to the other tires I have seen. Upon quick glance, they might be mistaken for drag radials. IMHO, looking at it live, I think its wickedly and understatedly evil. I guess its part of the "form following function" characteristics. Far it for me to be second guessing Michelin for making this tire the way it is.They might know a little bit about making tires.:vhmmm:
