Hi Gents and Ladies..anyone running VMR wheels

looking at the VMR-710 19x9.5

as you know i spoke with forgestar that are not comfortable that there fitment will work , and its a long way to find out being in o.z

i then had an email to venaci wheels they wont give out a ph number, so again i aint sending money to someone i cant talk too...they also have some bad pr on my350z.com 8 month waits no feedback etc

so VMR are not as exicting a wheel, but for so cheap i firgured it would cost me the same $ to re-firb my std rims

thanks all

john

Hey, how do you like your Remus exhaust? What tips did you use? Got any vids?

I think there are a couple of guys on here who have the Vmr 710 in the size you specified. Search the archives, and Call or email VmR, they can give you the correct offset to go with. Fwiw, I really like that wheel

that wheel with the 33et backspace is known to fit on the C5 RS6 with no spacers. 275 30 19 tire fitment.

so mate i typed a reply staright away but it seems to be missing??

so the exhaust , yes i love the note that remus mufflers make really nice off idle and low rpm rumble sound tourqey! smooth ... i have res delete and balance pipe , still quite quiet ..good on hwy at steady speed ...i had remus on my V8 X5 man was that loud...to loud to drive in town all the time got a head ache with the windows down ..

its just the tip i did not like so we cut them off and welded a more OEM style 4 inch oval stainless tip..fit the bumber nicely . In two weeks i am doing a secondary cat delete and software update from APR

i will get my GF's camera and try to take a sound clip for you this weekend ok :race:

255 35 19 should be fine. That is the tire size I run on my RS4 wheels that are 19x9 and they fit perfect.

Obviously these would look better on an RS6, than just my A6, but I love the wheels. One thing I would say is that the powdercoat hasn't held up the best. Couple little spots have showed up. I'd do them again, but I'd go with a silver finish.

thanks ...however this is the response i got from VMR

It sounds like some19x9.5 ET33s would fit on your car, however at the moment we do not have any instock and there is no ETA on when they will be back in stock again. Onething is that we've never had an RS6 in our warehouse to test fit the wheels, but if your stock specs are 19x9 ET35 I'm fairly certain that a 19x9.5 ET33will fit..

i asked if they were still making them then...as how could the maker not have an ETA? they either are making some or not right (as i too am a maker of goods , i can assure you that i know what i have / have not comming)

At the momentI don't believe it is considered a discontinued size, however I would notexpect it to come in any time soon.

i asked again, i got this

We are not acceptingorders for these at the moment since we do not have an ETA on them. Wealso cannot do special orders for single sets unfortunately

why not just say we dont have the wheels you want, and most likey may never....:applause:

i will start my wheel search again.......:revs:

I'm running a set of these - they fit perfectly with a 265/35/19 and 034 upper control arms.... you need a 3mm spacer if you don't use the arms but you COULD do the skinnier 255's.... in the RE11's they are wider then the 275/30 options and retain more sidewall..... mine rubbed only on the inner upper front fender liner screw, until I removed them.... no issues since.

The finish and weight are really good for the $.... they're not BBS RS-GT light or quality but for the $ they've been great so far.....( I do miss the BBB's.....) my set weighed in with tires at a 9lb savings over the stockers.....the rims are supposedly 23.6 lbs....

Cheers~

......well if the VMR710 can't be had, maybe (and don't bite my head off) the TSW Nurburgring will make an acceptable sub. They look similar, and I believe I read somewhere that they are forged wheels.......
