WUAPV54B23N905374 bites the dust. See it at auction:

The engine starts so I dream of a 4.2L TT powered hot rod. Maybe an old Lambo...

Parting that sucker out would more than make up for what was spent..

If someone here buys it, I want a couple parts.

All I need is the rear center headrest. Mine is falling apart.

What I did for this was get an a6 rear center headrest off eBay. I cut the cover off that came on it and transplanted mine. There is a plastic tab that breaks on these that is the culprit.

Exactly, the tab is broke. Thanks for the solution!

Yup, the leahter cover started to unwrap on my middle rear headrest. I think the opening and closing of the rear armrest facilitates this seem coming apart. I fixed mine with a light application of contact cement coupled w/masking tape going around the headrest to keep it tight, then a few days later I finally removed the masking tape. So far, so good.

I glued my headrest with R/C car tire glue. Done and done.

In the fantasy garage in my head, I just installed that 4.2t mid-engine in a VW Corrado shell.

From someone who has bought a wreck, under 7k totally worth it IMO. I sold my interior and some exterior body parts for $6k....now I have an extra cosworth, trans, turbos...all just in case.....someone who has cash and space should jump.

I chatted up a dude with a Corrado in the parking lot of a restaurant the other day. Nice guy, but he walked by the RS6 like it wasn't even there. Must have been his girlfriend's car or maybe I clicked the invisiblity button on my FOB.
