Hi, would like to ask for help on a couple of things.

Rear door ashtray: It looks liek RS6 and A6 are the same. Dealer wants $74. Genuine is asking for same. Is there any other source that is more reasonable in price? I wouldn't mind getting a used one, but one that works (my lid is busted and all my fixes couldn't save it).

Wheels for winter tires: Any recommendations for 17" wheels? I searched the Forum but did not find anything concrete. Mine are all busted up and I will definitely need a new set come October. I know, it is hard to even think of snow when it is pushing 100 outside, but it is almost August and first blizzard cannot be that far away.

Thanks!

My current winter setup - wheels and tires - is considerably smaller than my summer, which is definitely 18" + 255/40 tires. Honestly, I did not doublecheck and presumed they are 17"s. Will have to confirm this evening. I did not realize Blizzak makes wheels. Thanks for feedback.

You def need at least 18" wheels, and not all 18's fit due to our large fr brakes - I know this from experience. Try Tirerack, altho the last time I looked I didn't see any suitable wheels available on their site (only high performance wheels - not what I was looking for in a winter set-up).

I suspect that Ben's comment was referring to tires - not wheels .. Blizzak and Hankook tires perhaps? I'm not aware of Blizzak manufacturing wheels either.

I figured. Just wanted to yank his chain a bit. I am partial to Michelin Arctic Alpins - I have had very good luck with them.

I think reason my winter set up looks so much smaller is wheels are 8 and summer's are 8.5.

Are OEM knockoffs for winter wheels the way to go?

Yep. My busted winter wheels are indeed 18", shed with 225/45 winter tires.

My winter wheels are not OEM. They may very well be 7.5 - I did not measure. Will do when I get home tonight.

The only difference in part numbers is last letter. Now that's efficiency.

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
