Hi all, i had my tranny fluid replaced and serviced when i got my car at 34,000 miles
done by the only folks here that fix all trannys for

audi, vw, landrover etc

it was fine no issues at all, but i just wanted to ask does anyone run or know if you can or cant run (say a fluid from redline or simialr) what i am asking is are there pro's or cons of running other fluids other than what audi reccomend

thanks again

It's red, whereas the OEM fluid is a greenish brown...:lovl:

Okay, I'm about to demonstrate a tiny bit of my twisted mind, but the title of this thread would have a whole different meaning on an "alternative lifestyles" website...;)

^ What he said!!!!

BND tranny fluid for me - noticed smoother up shifting and it eliminated the banging downshifts when coming to stop.

Geez vitalian, I know it's friday and all. We use to have a different type of friday thread. Nevermind.

I have started using Redline D4. Seems nice and smooth, had BND before and it seemed fine. I'm sure it is just a coincidence and not blaming BND for this AT ALL, but within 5k miles on their fluid, my converter went. Okay, I had 90k miles and an APR tune. The stock converters suck and my assumption is that BND has nothing to do with it.

Subtle hints of word usage - Transmission versus Tranny - go along way.... just sayin'
