Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for the faceplate. I have an RNS-E in my car but also have a A3 RNS-E that has a different faceplate and I would like a complete spare for the 6.

Really? VERY interesting. I was told the faceplates are not available as a separate part by the dealer. I do need one, however, as my RNS-E faceplate was damaged in transit. How difficult is it to swap?

Where did you end up getting the face plate from? I also just got an A3 rns-e and would love to get the c5 plastic bezel.

Is the faceplate something we should try to model in solidworks and get someone to make a few of them? I am not much of a Mech Engineer but I bet we could make a reasonable looking faceplate.

Hey, did somebody figure out a way to code the 193 (MY 2010+) RNS-E to a C5 A6?
From what I understand, the newest RNS-E units don't accept C5 coding in VAG-COM, and therefore won't take speed info from the GALA wire, making nav performance choppy...
The A3 and TT (which is what the new RNS-Es are designed for) now deliver speed/gyro data over entertainment CAN, not GALA like our old cars.
