Driver's side map pocket (the small one) won't stay closed

The little pocket next to the larger one on bottom of drivers door won't "catch" and stay closed...if I take door card off, can I get at the pocket from behind and fix it somehow....it is driving me crazy!!!

My pass side is on its way there, takes 3-5 times get it to latch :(

Mine latches every time, but rarely will pop open.

If I remember correctly, the cause of those not latching consistently is that junk gets in the little niche and you have to clean it out and re-grease it. If it latches sometimes it should be fixable. If not, the little plastic tooth is likely broken (same thing happens in the window lock button, really frustrating..), and it needs replaced..

I had to essentially restore the track (niche as you refer to it) because it had been damaged. Think of a spring loaded pin riding around a goofy shaped track as the door goes in and out. My pin had worn out the inner curb of the track and went into the infield (to use the analogy) all the time.

I filled the infield with Billy Mays type stuff and reshaped the inner curb of the track. Re-greased and haven't had a problem since.

Part number for 3A is as follows:
Left Front - 4B186897724A - black only (Genuine @ $106)
Right Front - 4B2868978A24A - black only (yes the extra A is in there, but it finds it anyway) (Genuine @ $106)

Part number for 5 is:
4B0898173 (Genuine @ $17)
