Warranty? I don't need no stinking warranty. lol.

Seriously, I find no issue with the flowchart in that post. If a mod can be proven to have caused a failure, then deny the warranty claim and cancel the applicable part of the warranty pertaining to drive train.

The techs shouldn't have to spend the time being failure analysts and forensic scientists either though as it adds to the labor time.

It wouldn't bother me one bit if car companies state that specific modifications including ECU flashes void the engine warranty. It would increase the price of aftermarket tunes on recent models, but should also increase (force) the quality.

I'm probably opening up a can of poo here, but how many chip tuners out there actually have the cars they're tuning sitting next to them on their dyno (if they even have one)?

As for FoMoCo, they're competing with the aftermarket, too on a lot of hardware and maybe trying to eliminate some competition.

I'm sure a hot rod cam bought from the Ford Racing Catalog wouldn't be an issue where one from Comp Cams might be one.

super nice, not much else that compares to a black on black SL 65 w/ low miles and CPO from MB, good price too.
I am a year or two away from one of these b/c it is not practical as a daily driver ( no AWD and only 2 seats) in a perfect world I would have bought on the spot but my practical side advised against until later.

That is the car though, drop top riding in one of these is a real experience.

IMO u should go for it if you can pull it off ,

Uhmmmm, pics will have to wait....I can download a pic of my wrecked driver side quarter panel......2 weeks old, 290 miles on her, and I wasn't even in the car! Parked at a park and ride, a bus went around another bus, hub tore into my rear quarter panel! So car is at NJ's best body repair shop, 3 weeks.......sucks....but fully paid for by bus company
