On the odometer?

I have recently found a local RS6 for sale with the above conditions. Two owner vehicle with the above damage which has since caused the vehicle to be deemed a salvage. The car has been repaired and the current owner is selling because he needs the money to go back to school. Timing belt service has been done and there are no modifications on the car.

My biggest concern is that I won't be able to get an aftermarket warranty and in reading this board (over the past few months) I know how important that is.

What would (if you even would) you offer given you couldn't get a warranty?

~15k....

And I probably wouldn't. Unless I knew the repair shop and oversaw the repairs and they were minor. Also, was it hit center rear or on a side of the rear? Did the frame need adjusted?

does the owner have any "before" repair photos?

Have to do some digging, I believe the current owner was on the board looking for parts, and had before and after pictures of the car....It was hit hard, real hard. This is coming from a master body tech.

Oh yeah, I remember that one. They still wanted low 20's, didn't they?

I have asked for the pictures showing before and after. I've also asked for the repair shop who has done the work to discuss with them. He wants at least 25K for the car now that it's repaired but the warranty part is still the biggest risk for me given the cost of on going maintenance for these beasts.

Was the car before from the Washington area?

Honestly, I'd rather pay $25k for a 70K mile car that's had it's "quirks" ironed out already. Knowing how many parts my car has consumed in the last few years, the thought of buying a low mileage car and starting all over gives me small seizures.

That's what I did last year, almost exactly. 25k with 68k.

And it's worked out pretty well so far ;-)

This is the car....owner hasn't mentioned the front end damage. I think I may look elsewhere.

Good idea. So with a screen name like that...are you a chef?
