Very interesting and some very curious results! :vhmmm: They measured a 0-200kph time for the RS3 that's a second slower than AMS, but look at that 0-100kph time: close to 0-60 in 4 seconds flat!!

The 1M did very well on the laptime. If you look at this list:

http://www.fastestlaps.com/tracks/autozeitung_test_track.html

it beat the M3, M5 and the M6... Mind you the RS3 went round faster than the RS4, RS5 and TT-RS. I assume all the latter were manual transmission but even so...I suspect the margin of error in these results is so substantial that their relative order is almost meaningless.

Also look at the weight for each car, the RS3 was 47kg more than officially quoted but the 1M was only 27kg. I'm guessing the Audi was better equipped.

And another thing, look and the separate group sections and their respective totals, only was the RS3 beat in one of these (engine/transmission) and by the smallest of margins, in everything else the RS3 comfortably beat the 1M. Three comparison tests so far and all three prefer the RS3 stating it's the better car overall.

No wonder BMW websites are very quiet about these comparison tests, much preferring to rabbit on about everything but these tests. :hihi:

Ben, you haven't been following BMW's latest offering I'm guessing because they have in recent years got increasingly worse with regards to steering feel and yet Audi have been doing the opposite. It was only a matter of time before one overtook the other.

Ben, you haven't been following BMW's latest offering... You're right, I haven't. Didn't realize the fall had been so great! Kudos to Audi. :thumb:
