I guess my fuel gauge was a little slow to tell me I was running low. I just passed the 1/4 tank mark, when the car started hiccuping and slowing down. 1/4 mile from the exit, the beast couldn't make it up the hill!!!

Don't worry, viper motorclub(much quicker than AAA) will be here in ~5 min.

My gauge is off by 1/8 - 1/4 of a tank. I am having Audi look at it since I think it was related to them changing out the tank.

I think I'll just adjust the needle a lil to the left after this trip. Now that I think about it, it takes about 50 miles on the highway to come off F....

I had a chance to test my "miles to bingo fuel" a couple times and it's balls on. Good luck with the gauge adjustment!

Your wife/girl friend looks especially happy!

So true. I just noticed on the way home that I've covered 150 miles on the first 1/4 of my tank. Simple logic would say I should see 600 miles out of this tank of fuel, but experience says I've got about 50 miles left.

You can change it with vag-com adaptation.

Why are you embarrased? Your gas gauge failed. Not You!!!! Audi should be embarrased. For $85,000 it should have TWO gauges! LOL!

The gauge in my RS6 is perfect but on the other hand the gauge in my tt is off by 1/3 of a tank and temp as well. Getting ready to send the tt instrument cluster off for a rebuild. Chung, was your gauge ok before your rebuild? JSRS6, when I was stationed in Germany I learned that it is against the law to run out of gas on the Autobahn, a ticket will ensue if you can't coast it to an exit and get out of the way of the Polizei.

Haha! So true mike. Meth kit won't have a gauge per se, but it'll have a low level indicator...

I am pretty sure the gauge was off before the insturment rebuild but I cannot remember 100%. If it is as easy as using VAGCOM to adjust it I will be happy.

I would be embarrassed with all the bugs you killed on the front bumper not the gas issue. LOL<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
