Better economy than the hybrid and hits 0-60 in 6.8. That is not bad at all.

I have some feeling that in near future we will see Panamera S Diesel, equiped with upcoming 3.0 TDI bi-turbo...

But considering that A8 with the same engine & gearbox consumpts the same, accelerates 0-100 in .7s faster, has AWD and costs less it is not that good deal any more. And Panamera might have a beautiful interior, but A8 has to have the best interior right now. Sorry Porsche, this time Audi wins over you.
