My PS2s just developed a bubble/blister passenger front last weekend, currently considering options: find a used single/set, by a new replacement, or new set.

I did throw on the stock set for safety.

I am pretty happy with those. I am getting them again. Last set lasted about 22000 miles. Rears destroyed due to delayed alignment after KWs. I am waiting for 2 days now cause I am getting the Rotoforms powdercoated a textured black.

Dave, did you ever get the invite? Also, anyone going to this event can preorder tires on the site and they will mount them for you at the event. You can also order them online and have them drop shipped.

Btw, these tires are awesome. Youll see at the event.

No,

Can you resend the invite. I would like to get them mounted at the event. I can roast the last of my PS2s then mount up the new super sports.

OK after delaying a day from Tuesday May 24th AM session to Wednesday May 25th PM session starting at 1:30PM:
First off, the RS6 is GREAT on the highway and makes passing effortless.
I "left" work at 11:50PM after gassing up and trying kidnap the wife for this ONCE-IN-A_LIFETIME event = I can't = lame.
Set the GPS to 9300 Cherry Ave, Fontana, CA - arrival time 1:43PM... :(
Got on the I-15 and was cruising legally along when a matte black M6 got right on my a$$ for a bit and I surrendered the lead.
I followed him for a bit up until just north of Temecula and.... what the hell is that shadow above us? California's finest flying along... throttled down for a bit...
Fast Forward to the arrival at 1:38PM (I-10 in LA/Riverside/Corona is a bitch).
Lots of signage to lead me to the playgrounds!
Short intro to the people putting on the event and we were presented with name tags with lanyards.

ROAD COARSE:
My group did the road coarse first:
Car: Lexus IS-F
Shoes: Pirelli Neros vs. Michelin Super Sports.
I was a track virgin so I have some idea on driving lines and apex and looking ahead but that was it.
My instructor was none other than Didier Theys (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Didier_Theys) and I had no clue who he was...
He set me up with the correct seating position and steering wheel position.
He got in, I shifted to sport and started out on the Michelins first...
2.75 of lap (you exit early of the completion of the 3rd lap) and by the second lap, I felt VERY confident with the Michelin Super Sports.
Minor push here and there but more likely due to the rookie driver.
Minor 4 wheel slide but completely predictable.
LOTS of grip!!!!
We parked it, jumped in the Pirelli shoad IS-F, adjusted everything and off we go...
It wasn't more than 2-3 corners and I missed every apex and my lines were completely off.
I had to slow down to make them work... kinda...
Lots of lean and noise from the Pirelli's...

BRAKING:
Next was the braking in wet and dry with brand new BMW 328
Michelin Super Sports vs. Goodyear somethings (V1's?)
Vbox for speed and stopping distance
Took the Goodyears out first, accel to 55mph, hit the binders hard in the dry.
Minor chatter...
Continue to wet area, same accel, coast, hit the binder, ABS light, seemed ok.
Took the Michelins out next, same routine in dry, 4 feet shorter stop distance
Continue to wet area, same routine in wet, 1-2' shorter stop distance but felt much better than the not-so-good goodyears...

AUTOCROSS:
BMW 328 (4 in total) - Also brand new - 150 miles on clock.
Michelin Super Sport and Continental something DW.
About 1/2 way thru the 10 people, the Michelin crew had to retire one of the BMW's shoad in the Continentals as it had worn down to cords!!!! I DO have a photo of that...
Michelins felt firmer, more stable and slight push due to too much speed, blip the gas and it is back to normal...
I hit no cones but I can't say that for everyone else :) No I wasn't driving like a granny/grandpa...
Next was the Conti's - lots of squealing, lots of pushing, lots of corrections, felt terrible...

PRO RIDE ALONG:
Ferarri 458 - Didier Theys
Nissan GTR -
Aston Martin Vantage V12 Convertible
Audi R8 V10 convertible
Mercedes SLS AMG (someone's personal car)

I got in the R8 first and man oh man can that thing grip and rip!
Next was the Aston Martin - yawn....
Next was the GTR but we ran out of track time...

It was a great event and I am seriously thinking of trading in my Hankooks for the Super Sports.
Photos to follow...

Glad you had a good time! My experience was the same as Bens, but our hot lap car lineup was different: gallardo, 458, xf-r, and 911 turbo.

JSRS6
May 26th, 2011, 06:27
And Didier and all the crew were awesome. IIRC, he was also my coach in the IS-f and drove me in the gallardo.

The lady just to the right of the blue helmet took out an IS-F during the PRO RIDE ALONG and was drifting around the circuit! And she was easy on the eyes :)
