I can already tell that this is still going to be my favourite hatch. The reason I like the A3 so much is because of the low roofline and strong C-pillar. I think the 1 series looks girly and new Golfs (since the Mk4) look boring.

I was told that there is not surprises with any of the A3 designs, they are all similar to the out going model, only that the nose design is similar to the new A6 and of course there will be a saloon added to the range.

Well that's what we can see from sketches so probably true. I think from the sketch the rear end looks similar to the A1.

Looks great. If it's not broke don't fix it. The current A3 (especially 3dr) looks really good. I'm glad this one still has the basic features such as the strong C pillar and low roofline. The current A3 is my favourite hatch and this will be too. On the other hand we have the next 1 series coming up but I don't really like it based on what I've seen so far.

What we haven't seen is the A3 Avant yet. I guess it'll look like a scaled down A4 Avant, but with the new A3's general look and feel it should be a very stylish evolution of the classic avant lines.
