I haven't drove her in 2weeks, and have another 2 weeks( I'm assuming)..... Man i miss driving that car...the wait will be worth it. Btw no pics yet, because mechanic has been carefully trying to remove engine, transverse bar not going to work, passenger side is crushed and won't support it.
I drove the cl65 home today, very nice, quietly fast, I can blast it but the car is so quiet, and comfortable it's hard to tell I was doing 90 on way home....thank god for k40. Anyone want to see a pic?

Pull the engine through the front. Core support comes out in one piece after bumper, headlights, ic's, ect are removed. (info from yokust)

You miss yours, I haven't driven mine in more than 3 Weeks now. And to make matters worse, while coming home from work the other day I came across a Bad Ass M3. All I could do was swallow my pride and chill because I was driving the Wife's Allroad which is flashed but still no match for the M3. Had I had the RS I guaranty It would have been a Totally different story. The Mechanic who is working on mine got sick ( My Luck), which delayed the whole process by a few days. However I wouldn't have any one else work on it but him. Any way they let me know that it should be ready tomorrow If all goes well. Can't wait..........................

Ty I'm sure it's more about him being jammed with currently. Basically I have already paid him, because he collected the $$ on the stripped out wreck. Just a little blue....funny S8 gone,drove her for last 2 weeks, pretty and fast but No dynamic driving her IMO....pics when get to office

Hell, there is nothing wrong with my car and I have not driven it in 2 weeks. ;-) Dealing with the AMG at the moment. I want to keep that car but MB is making it hard to have much faith in the E platform.

Usually the battery dies between getting it out on the road.

nope...engine not pulled yet, I wa sup there last saturday but he had wreck up on lift. He is located about 1 hour + from me. This weekend no good either.

Car stock is 738 crank, I think Jerry stage 1 is another 100ft lbs, not sure what u lose on RWD slush box, he has a stage 2 that adds another liquid cooled IC with pump, supposed to lower temps 20 degrees, but I think I might food warranty that way......

I'm also considering selling the 996 Turbo and grabbing a SL65. I think with a flash, that would fun...momma wants a convertable...pretty good compromise I think...

Mercedes don't hold the value, it's nuts... I sell my low mileage 4 year old S8 at auction for $51,900.00... Granted cl65 is an 05' but mint, 39k miles and extended warranty, $44500.00.. Car was $188k new...nuts....and the engine is sweet. Get one.

I agree loving the AMG 65's very tepmting, on the SL's can you update the grill & back difuser to 10-11 spec? Also what are owners reporting as far as prob areas, maintnence costs and reliability?

I asked a couple of diff german car mechanics, AMG engines are rock solid....what came up on forum was suspension, like our DRC issues, that's about it....if u think servicing rs6 was pricey, go price front rotors for the sl or cl 65 ...cha-ching
