Folks,

In may of last year, we had a pretty bad hail storm in Northern VA. My car happend to be at the dealership and was parked outside. To make a long story short, I am finally getting around to having it fixed. At the same time, I wanted to spruce it up a little.

I sprang for new front and rear bumpers(out of pocket), new hood, new blacked out grills and a new lower carbon fiber lip.

In the next 2-3 weeks, I will be having all these parts to sell. Bumpers are both in good condition, but front has typical rock chips for 65K car. Rear bumper has been repainted before, and is starting to see some signs of poor prep work.

The hood has about 20 hail dents in it. It would make the perfect hood vent donor, as some of the small dents would be cut away.

The lower lip spoiler is the one pictured here.(actual pics of everything to follow, you will need to see the work the spoiler will need)

I paid about $1200 for it from Japan. It has been cracked through in the lower lip area by my wife hitting a curb with it. It can be repaired by a good Carbon shop (think carbon bicycle repair). It is an awesome piece and would clean up very nicely.

I am thinking $350 a piece for the bumpers plus shipping and $400 for the lip spoiler plus shipping. I paid $826 a piece for the new bumpers, so I think this is a pretty good price.

Maybe $150 for the hood.

Car is AVUS by the way.

So, just trying to raise interest.

PM me if you are interesting.

Stephen

#@!$%#@$%@!!!

Pulling what hair I have left out!!!!!

Damn Tapped out of $$$....

I have been searching for a donor hood for the "Headshot Vents" for a while now....
If you would like to "donate it" to a test project, I am sure there might be someone in San Diego or someone in Wisconsin what would gladly accept the donation... just sayin'
Just the hood, of course :)

Ben, I may have to work something out with u or pat. I still have hood from wreck, and it's still true. No scratches etc....I was thinking down road to do vents, was hoping the guy on here was going to sell. But as soon as I get around tp mine, I will donate the extra one.

That would be great!
I have the plans from HEADSHOT and would like to make a full size template (I have access to large plotter printers).
The long term vision would be to have a template for anyone that would want one, take off hood, tape on template, measure 1001 times, take a big deep breath, drill some holes... continue...

I am still trying to get Vorsteiner to make a hood for us.. They cite limited market. The cost from them would not be cheep, but high quality and look amazing. I would guess if we could confirm 5-10, they could do it. Can do DVWP hood and carbon vents to save cost. Or maybe just sell the vents.. Having generic holes and slots on my car would be a no-go.

Some options: (my old M6 and the new X6M hood vents I like best). Also they have audi style.. but I dont like it as much.
M6 (Clipped corner vent)

X6 (4 angle "square "Vent)

Audi (dont like center vent.. shouldnt be inlet, but an outlet. )

Closed Middle - like this but with slightly wider side vents could be nice.

Audi B5 shorter and wider, could work in the back.. not in middle. Pull more air over the hot airboxes!

Let me know thoughts! a Vent-only-add-it yourself option could be doable.. but I would rather have a full hood, no cutting.

Brav I think a full hood would be easiest, but also way ro expensive. Then again I have body guy whom would do the mod and not expensive.

I wanted to give an update and provide a few photos of the carbon lip. Right now, all the parts except the hood have been spoken for, and a couple of the parts a few times. The body shop took a couple photos of the bumpers today, but I have not got them in the email yet. Also, all the parts will be available to ship by Monday, so the time has come. Rather than put on public display who has spoken for what, please look for a PM from me first thing tomorrow to see where you are in line. I think I will save the hood and see if Stephen's body guy can do anything with it.

Thanks again for all the interest, the bumpers are really nice and I am sure for the coin requested, folks will be very happy.

I am confident we can get 5 orders. I am pretty sure we can get 10. We should use the final champion motors hood for a mold. This had the Headshot mods on the sides and the vented center section if I remember right.

I am in for sure if we can get Vorsteiner to make it. They make top quality parts and wheels. Still saving my pennies for a set of their forged one piece wheels.

Brav, those vented hoods look fantastic. I'd be curious about cost for the full meal deal. I'm not as brave as Ben, and I wouldn't even attempt to start punching holes in my stock hood.
