I have very few details other than what is on the dealer's website (http://www.axtmanauto.com/vehicle/3102777/2003-Audi-Rs6-4-2-V8-Bi-TURBO-WLow-Miles-Oakdale-Minnesota-55128). I own and operate a VW/Audi and other euro car repair shop (since 1982) in Waterloo, IA so I do have quite a bit of experience with VW and Audi (I currently own an 2000 A8 and a 1990 V8) But I have very little knowledge on the details of a RS6. From what I've read so far there seems to be quite a bit of talk about the suspension on these.

I'm not in a huge hurry to buy, but I don't want it to get away IF it turns out to be a great example of a RS6.

Ultimately, I'm looking for a fun ride while I wait until Audi updates the S5 in 2012.5

I would definitely have one of the knowledgeable guys up in that area take a look at it.

Looks like it has some slight mods (smoked headlight housings, Euro tails). The exhaust looks odd to me, maybe misadjusted?.......Maybe I am just used to seeing the SE exhaust.

Those are the Euro taillights, non-LED (the top part is suppose to be Orange)
The headlights look like it was taken apart, not clear cornered but painted flat black?
White interior with normal wear in the drivers seat and steering wheel,
Warm weather package,
Looks like the recalled version of the DRC - it sits high in the ass
Exhaust might be aftermarket but OEM tips...
Look SHARP at the front and rear rotors - look no bueno!

Take a VAG COM with you for grins...

7 owners?!?!?! Personally, I would be very cautious but since you are familiar with VW/Audi, you might be just fine.
Transmission, DRC, service records are the big things to ask about.
Also since you have the VIN, go to your local Audi dealer and ask for the service records, they WILL give them to you.

Kevin, take a look at Las Vegas Craigslist there are two RS6's for a lot less. One claims to have a new transmission on warranty it it with the DRC recall done and looks like it sits fine in the rear. The one with the new tranny for $21.5K has been on Craigslist for a couple of weeks, if it checks out maybe there getting a little hungry.

I got the ebay RS6, too many likes (one owner, low miles, interior/exterior colors, service records, recalls, timing belt/waterpump maint.) for me to pass on. I made an offer on it and the selling price includes the warranty. I probably paid a little too much but don't care. I will keep the mileage low and it will be fine. Can't wait to get behind the wheel now!

Congrats on the purchase. Its always about the condition, condition, condition and ext warranty.

Ext warranty alone is worth 3-4k on that car.

Give a full update with pics when you get it.
