? New key adaptation HELP !

Anybody know how the f- to adapt a new key to a C5 A6?
I transferred the immobilizer chip to a new key, so it starts the car, but for the life of me I can't get the wireless to adapt to my car --- no adaptation codes in the central locking block will read with vag-com, None of the various re-syncing tricks work (lock, unlock, push the button, etc)

Insert key into door, press and hold lock button, lock car and hold in lock position.
